Belgian midfielder Kevin De Bruyne discussed his future at Manchester City, sharing what it would take for him to consider moving to another club. The 33-year old has been reportedly linked with a number of Saudi clubs.

The six-time Premier League winner and one of the best midfielders of the decade, is entering the final 12 months of his contract at the Etihad. With no reports of a fresh contract between the player and the reigning champions, there have been persistent rumors of a transfer. De Bruyne has been linked to a number of Saudi PL sides, and he could follow the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, Karim Benzema and other stars to the middle-east.

In a pre-Euros interview, De Bruyne addressed transfer rumors, stating he hadn’t spoken to other clubs. He emphasized his remaining contract year with Manchester City. While open to other options, he highlighted his immediate focus on enjoying a break and returning to the club. Moreover, the midfielder downplayed the allure of a massive contract, stressing he’s financially well off. He implied that such an offer would be for his extended family’s future.

I assume there will be talks with City in the next few months. If not, I will have to look for something else. But it's hard to say what will happen. (On Saudi links) If a silly amount is offered, then that's not for me. Kevin De Bruyne on Saudi links (via HLN)

Manchester City identify possible Kevin De Bruyne replacement, amid Saudi links

The EPL champions have reportedly identified a replacement for midfielder Kevin De Bruyne, in case he departs to the Saudi PL. It is understood that City might be keen on a move for West Ham star, Mohammed Kudus.

De Bruyne’s contract expires in 2025, and he has hinted at a potential move to Saudi Arabia. If he leaves, Pep Guardiola will need to fill the midfield void. Consequently, City have identified Ghanaian Mohammed Kudus as a replacement, impressed by his debut season in England with 18 goals in 48 appearances.

In addition to Manchester City, Liverpool might also be eyeing former Ajax star Kudus as a replacement for Mohamed Salah, who is similarly linked to Saudi Arabia.
