‘Unstoppable’ player has just completed his medical ahead of joining Chelsea
Chelsea reportedly now have everything in place to announce their latest new signing.
The Blues have looked to conduct a lot of their business early this summer in order to give the best possible avenue for success for new manager Enzo Maresca.
However, bringing in a number of young players to continue with the project under Todd Boehly has not been ended yet. They have already announced the signing of Estevao Willian.
It was always going to be interesting to see how much say new boss Maresca has in which youngsters come in to the club.
However, if reports are to be believed, he is actually a keen admirer of Barcelona striker Marc Guiu, and has led the club’s recent charge to sign the player formally described as ‘unstoppable’.
Now, Fabrizio Romano has claimed on Twitter that the Blues have successfully completed his medical, making the official announcement to bring him in imminent.
He said: “Marc Guiu has completed medical tests as new Chelsea player tonight in London!
“The release clause worth €6m has been paid, Barça have been informed with formal document.
“Guiu signs as new Chelsea player on deal valid until June 2030. Here we go, now confirmed.”

Despite the fact he is still a young player, it is believed at this point that the striker will have a chance to show his talents at the first team level this summer.
It has been claimed that he may not be the only striker to come through the door this summer, with the new manager keen on getting some competition in for Nicolas Jackson.
However, the Senegal man looks set to start the season up top at least after what was a very impressive debut campaign in the Premier League.
It doesn’t look like it is going to be a particularly big money addition to the squad though, ruling out the prospect of Victor Osimhen coming in at the stage.
