The First day of '100th Anniversary of the Bluefields' celebration brought people of all ages together at City Park, marking a historic milestone for the local communities. The event, held in BLUEFIELD, W. Va., featured a plethora of activities to kick off the festivities.

From bounce houses to live music, and a 'cruise in' car show, attendees were treated to a day filled with excitement and entertainment. In keeping with the theme of 'dynamic duos,' a superhero-themed 5K race and a pet show took place, with a Pomeranian named Max stealing the show as the top dog.

Felicia Holcomb, executive assistant to the city manager of Bluefield, West Virginia, expressed her delight, likening the City Park to a blend of both Bluefield and the Town of Bluefield. The synergy of the two communities was evident throughout the celebration, symbolizing a strong bond between the 'dynamic duo.'

Andrew Hanson, town manager for Bluefield, Virginia, emphasized the significance of the event in uniting the neighboring communities, highlighting the intertwined nature of the Town and the City.
