Chaotic scenes as emergency crews respond to massive fire

Daily Mail Online 2 days ago

Emergency crews are battling a massive inner-city fire that caused a tunnel to be filled with smoke.

Several demountables and shipping containers erupted into flames at the intersection of Wren Street and O’Connell Terrace in Bowen Hills in Brisbane just after 8.30pm on Tuesday night.

Motorists made multiple calls to triple-0 after they spotted plumes of smoke billowing from the inner city tunnel bypass.

'On arrival, several demountables and shipping containers were on fire,' a Queensland Fire and Emergency Service spokesman told Daily Mail Australia.

'The smoke affected the tunnel as a result.

'All people at the scene have been accounted for and the fire is under control at this stage.
