Here is a roundup of the top Chelsea news and gossip that we think you guys could have missed today –

Chelsea have announced the signing of striker Marc Guiu from FC Barcelona

The Spaniard has agreed a five-year deal with the Blues, which includes a further one-year option, and will join up with his new teammates for pre-season.

CHELSEA posted on the club website: ‘Guiu is a product of Barcelona’s academy who was given a taste of senior football last summer when he featured for the Catalans in a pre-season fixture against Vissel Kobe.

‘Further first-team involvement followed in October 2023. Guiu was named as a substitute in a La Liga game against Granada before being handed his debut against Athletic Club.

‘Introduced with seven minutes to play and the game goalless, Guiu scored what proved to be the winner within a minute of making his professional debut.

‘He made six further first-team appearances during the 23/24 season – and netted his first UEFA Champions League goal in a group-stage fixture against Royal Antwerp.

‘Top scorer for Spain at last summer’s UEFA European Under-17 Championship, Guiu made the step up to represent his country at the Under-19 age group during the 23/24 campaign.

‘He will now begin the next chapter of his career with the Blues. Welcome to Chelsea, Marc!’

The lad is a serious talent that Barcelona did not want to let go – so in that sense – CHELSEA have signed a special talent that could develop into something special.

However – the club still need to make some experienced signings over the next few months or they will struggle again in the Premier League – players like Guia are not yet ready to make a big impact on the side and is certainly not a player that can make an immediate impact.

CHELSEA SIGN DREWBURY HALL –

Chelsea have confirmed that midfielder Kieran Drewbury-Hall has signed from leicester City – and he is delighted with the move.

CHELSEA posted on the club website: ‘Dewsbury-Hall, who joined Leicester at the age of eight, made his senior debut for the Foxes in an FA Cup tie against Brentford in January 2020. A loan spell in League One with Blackpool followed in which he struck four goals in just ten appearances.

‘He spent the 2020/21 campaign on loan in the Championship with Luton Town and showcased his talent and potential over 40 appearances to earn a place in the first-team squad at Leicester ahead of the following season.

‘Dewsbury-Hall became a prominent figure in the Foxes side during the 2021/22 campaign. He made 44 appearances across all competitions and was named in the UEFA Europa Conference League Team of the Season after helping Leicester reach the semi-finals.

‘A further 34 outings were made for Leicester during the 2022/23 season before he was joined at the King Power Stadium by Enzo Maresca last summer.

‘Under our new head coach, Dewsbury-Hall played 49 times, scored 12 goals, helped Leicester secure promotion to the Premier League, was named the club’s Supporters’ Player of the Season and Players’ Player of the Season, and was named in the Championship Team of the Year.

‘He now begins the next chapter of his career with the Blues. Welcome to CHELSEA, Kiernan!’

The Player said: ‘It is amazing to be sitting here as a Chelsea player,’ said Dewsbury-Hall. ‘This is a club people grow up watching and hoping to one day play for, so it is a privilege to be here. I’m really excited to get going and can’t wait to show everybody what I can do.’

OSIMHEN OFFER MADE –

Chelsea are said to have made a first offer for Victor Osimhen this summer, it has been claimed in the media this week.

It is no secret that Nicolas Jackson and Christopher Nkunku are quality players – but they are not the type of strikers that will bang in 30 goals a season, something that will help the Blues get back into the hunt for Champions League football

Osimhen, 25, dreams of playing in the Premier League, according to according to Radio Roma, but Napoli will stand firm on his €130m (£111m) release clause, which has put many clubs off actually making an offer for the big Nigerian star,

Conte recently addressed the media for the first time since becoming Napoli’s head coach and revealed that he has received assurances that Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, Giovanni Di Lorenzo, Frank Anguissa and Stanislav Lobotka will not be sold, however, he could not say the same for Osimhen.

‘As far as Osimhen is concerned, just as I knew very well about the situation of Kvara, Di Lorenzo, Anguissa, Lobotka, on which I have placed an absolute veto,’ Conte said

‘Having said that, I know what the situation is regarding Osimhen. I know that there are agreements, that it is a situation different from all the others. I can only assist.

‘He is a player of the highest level, exceptional, but I cannot enter into any discussion because it is part of previous agreements which have been clearly stated to me.’

Now Reports in Italy say that Chelsea have made their first move for Osimhen which includes Romelu Lukaku and around £40million, which is far less than the £111 million that Napoli value the star at.

He is one of the best forwards in the world and a man that could thrive in an CHELSEA attack that creates so many chances on a daily basis. So the Blues would be getting an elite star if they manage to get this deal done.
