Anambra State Govt Reassures Of Partnership With Non-Indigenes

The Deputy Governor of Anambra State, Dr Onyekachukwu Ibezim has assured that the present administration of Professor Chukwuma Soludo will keep partnering with the non-indigenes for the overall interest of the state.

The Deputy Governor gave the assurance when the members of Anambra State Association of Non- Indigenes paid him a Courtesy visit in his office at the Government House, Awka.

Deputy Governor Ibezim who acknowledged the importance of the non-Indigenes in the development and progress of the state, said that the government of Professor Soludo will continue to carry them along in the scheme of things, and commended them for their support so far to the state, charging them to do more.

He commended the leadership of the non-indigenes for embarking on capturing of their members, as it will help the state government in the fight against crime and equally ensure adequate security of life and property across the state and called on non-Indigenes in the state to help in protecting government properties and key into the various initiatives of the state government geared towards bettering the state.

Speaking earlier, the President of the Association, Prince Chigozie Nweke appreciated Governor Soludo for carrying them along in its policies and programs, promising that the group will continue to play their part in the development and progress of the state.

In separate interviews, the Woman Leader of the Association, Mrs. Esther Audu, the Director of Youths and Mobilization, Comrade Godwin Otu and a member of the group, Comrade Okechukwu Mmaduforo expressed happiness with Professor Soludo’s non segregative style of leadership, appreciating him for carrying the non-Indigenes in the state along in the various recruitments already done in the state, as well as the skill acquisition trainings, assuring that they are solidly behind his second term bid.

The President, Anambra State Association of Town Unions, Barrister Titus Akpudo and the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Boundary Matters, Mr. Ekenechukwu Okoye were present during the event.
