After the announcement of Lewis Hamilton joining Ferrari, Carlos Sainz was left without a seat for 2025. However, Sainz has not decided yet where he will drive for the 2025 season. The Spaniard has various options on his list but has still not decided where to land. This uncertainty has caused mental stress to the Ferrari driver.

Carlos Sainz had a conversation with the media before this weekend’s British GP. He revealed that he’s been spending a significant amount of time thinking about his future move. The Spaniard admitted that a big time of his weekdays, from Mondays to Thursdays, is occupied by numerous phone calls and meetings. The discussion obviously involved the team he is in and the team he’s negotiating with.

Honestly, quite a lot. I'm not going to lie. Mondays to Thursdays, before I arrive at a track, there are a lot of phone calls, a lot of time spent on the phone, meetings with my management team, but also with the teams that I'm talking to, trying to understand and trying to have a full picture of the situation. Carlos Sainz said, as reported by RacingNews365

The Spaniard explained that his current situation is very stressful and demands a lot of time. He expressed the frustration of not being able to fully relax and take a break from everything. The 29-year-old expressed that his mind is constantly thinking about what lies ahead in his career, leaving him feeling mentally distracted and unsure. Currently, Alpine is believed to be the frontrunner for Carlos Sainz.

It's probably quite stressful and time consuming, instead of being able to fully disconnect and recharge. Obviously, my mind is still somewhere else, thinking about my future and wondering what it will be. Carlos Sainz added

Carlos Sainz decides to not judge any teams short term moves

Carlos Sainz mentioned that getting clear information from teams like Alpine, Williams and Audi about their plans and how they might perform in 2026 is tricky. He described the process as involving some guessing and relying on luck, as he tried to stay informed about developments. The Spaniard highlighted that his approach is not to rush judgment based on short-term outcomes, whether in the next races or for the upcoming year.

There's a bit of guessing, a bit of luck, trying to educate yourself on what is happening in F1. What I have thought about is not to judge the move in the short term, or in the next few races, or for next year. Carlos Sainz explained

Further, Sainz. jr believed it’s crucial to look ahead and analyze whether this decision will benefit him over the next five years. This is the reason the Spaniard is taking as much time as required to make such a significant choice. Sainz mentioned taking this approach felt right to him because he wanted to ensure he makes the best possible decision for his future in Formula 1.

You always need to see and analyze with perspective in mind. That's why I'm going to take all the time possible that I can to make such an important decision because it involves the outcome of the next few years of my life. I think it's valid for me to give myself the time. Carlos Sainz added

Certainly, Carlos Sainz decided he will not make any decisions in a hurry. He’s ready to give as much time as it takes, but the choice of his career must be guaranteed at least five years of consistency. Moving from this topic, fans are hoping for a great weekend at the British GP for the Spanish driver.
