Businessman and socialite, Pascal Okechukwu, popularly known as Cubana Chief Priest, was seen fulfilling his duties diligently during Davido and Chioma’s wedding.
Chief Priest arrived at Davido and Chioma’s wedding on Tuesday, June 25, 2024, shortly after the court dismissed his case with the Economic and Financial Crime Commission (EFCC), regarding alleged abuse of the Naira, to which he pleaded not guilty.
Throughout the wedding, the socialite stood by Davido’s side, ensuring the singer was protected, and comfortable during the event.
Despite Davido choosing his childhood friend, Lati as his best man, Chief Priest assumed the role of Davido’s best man and was seen behind him, wiping his face and acting as his protective detail to ensure his safety during the lavish ceremony.
Chief Priest took to his Instagram page during the wedding to showcase the outfit he wore, revealing that it cost him a sum of seven million naira.
In an interview with BBC Igbo the day after the wedding, Chief Priest opened up about his relationship with Davido, emphasizing that it goes beyond money and gossip.
He described Davido as both his friend and in-law, noting that Chioma is from the same Imo State as himself.
Chief Priest said, “Davido is my friend. He is my in-law; he married Chioma who is from Imo State, where I am from.
“So, the relationship I have with Davido is beyond money and gossip.”
Before the wedding, a viral video showed Cubana Chief Priest praising Davido for keeping his promise to marry Chioma and making Imo State proud by choosing to marry someone from the State.
