Lokpobiri highlighted that bold decisions are sometimes required for the country’s prosperity and that the removal of the fuel subsidy on the president’s first day in office was essential to avoid a crisis similar to Venezuela’s. He reassured that the government is acting with the country’s best interests at heart and that the challenges faced in Nigeria are not unique but common worldwide.
Additionally, former President Dr. Goodluck Ebele Jonathan commented on the widespread economic hardships affecting Nigeria.
