CNN’s Kasie Hunt couldn’t help but laugh after an analyst broke from her fellow panelists and tried out a positive spin on President Joe Biden, claiming Democrats are “galvanized” and more supportive after CNN’s debate and the Supreme Court’s ruling on presidential immunity.

“We may have just lived through the week that wins Donald Trump the election,” Hunt declared on Tuesday on CNN This Morning.

She went on to note calls to replace Biden following his performance against Trump at the debate, as well as the former president’s partial victory after the Supreme Court ruled Monday that presidents hold absolute immunity for “official acts” taken as president. Hunt argued this only benefits Trump as his legal issues related to the Jan. 6 Capitol riot are now pushed beyond November’s election.

CNN political commentator and former Hillary Clinton spokesperson Karen Finney tried to paint a different story, claiming recent perceived losses are only convincing Democrats to stick with Biden more.

“As the Democrat here, a couple things, number one, the Supreme Court decision in part is actually starting to galvanize Democrats who are saying maybe we do need to stick with Joe Biden because maybe he is our best chance and so it may not be the week that Donald Trump won the election, it may be the week that he lost it because again the fear —” Finney said before Hunt cut in.

“That seems like a stretch,” the host said, laughing.

“I can just tell you what I’m seeing in the internals,” Finney countered.

The Democrat argued people are “very nervous” about a Trump presidency in the wake of the Supreme Court decision, with questions still looming about how far presidential immunity actually goes.

“We know he will actually make good on the things on the things that he says he is going to do,” she said.

Republican strategist Doug Heye ripped into the theory that Democrats are more “galvanized,” saying if anything Finney said was true then Biden would be “killing it” right now.

“Keep in mind, Democrats must be the most galvanized party in our history at this point. Every answer is Democrats are more enthusiastic, more galvanized than ever. If that were true, this would be the week Joe Biden wins the presidency and last week and the week before. He would be up 25 points in the polls because you guys are so galvanized,” he said. “Dobbs decision! This! Donald Trump this! Donald Trump that! You should be killing this and down ballot two and the reality is voters are still looking at Joe Biden and being like, ‘I don’t think he has it anymore.'”
