Family members continue to search for a missing California woman who hasn’t seen in over a month, as her husband faces domestic violence charges. 

The Redding Police Department said that Nikki Cheng Saelee-McCain last spoke to family on May 17. Someone reportedly picked her up from a home in Redding on that day, near the Win-River Casino.

Her truck was also reported missing, but police later found it, a 2002 Chevrolet Avalanche with California License Plate DP154UT, on May 25, in western Tehama County, according to the Shasta County Sheriff’s Office. 

Action News Now reports that 60 to 80 people showed up at the Shasta County Courthouse Friday to demand “justice for Nikki” as her husband, Tyler McCain, appeared at a hearing for several charges against him, including false imprisonment, corporal injury to a spouse, assault with force and criminal threats. 

McCain was arrested and charged on December 2 for the offenses. On May 7, he pleaded not guilty and a little over a week later, Nikki vanished.

In court Friday, the judge gave the prosecution more time to find evidence in the case and set another hearing for July 5. Her loved ones are worried about the evidence, since Nikki is still missing and can’t provide additional information.

“We’re here to be her voice. We’re supporting the family. And we’re just trying to come together to be her voice. Where is she? We want answers, and we want justice,” her sister, Nidelis Slater, said outside the court.

Meanwhile, the search continues.

Nikki is described as standing 4 feet, 11 inches tall and weighing 110 pounds. She has brown hair and brown eyes, and a tattoo on her left forearm of several roses.

Action News Now previously reported that Nikki and her husband share children together.

“Without her, they all have a piece of her heart that is empty,” family friend Ray Smith said in May.

The Nor-Cal Alliance For The Missing announced a $10,000 reward for information that leads to her whereabouts.
