Restaurant server explains how he punishes customers who show 'poor behaviour'

A waiter has revealed how he 'punishes' poorly behaved customers who visit the restaurant where he works.

Dylan Carlino, from Texas - aka @dylanpcarlino on TikTok - explained his 'favourite part' of working as a server was 'punishing' guests and seeking revenge on their behaviour.

He explained that some diners often ignore policies, for example, choosing a dirty table themselves instead of waiting to be seated.

But Dylan makes sure he gets his revenge, explaining all the ways he gets back at customers.

Dylan explained he usually lets guests sit at the dirty tables for around 20 minutes before they ask why nobody has been over.

He then pretends he had no idea they were waiting, because they are surrounded by dirty plates.

"'Nobody's helped you? There's dirty plates, what are you talking about? You guys already ate?'" says Dylan.

The guests then, of course, tell him that they haven't eaten yet, to which he responds: "'Wait, did you guys come in and seat yourself and not talk to anybody? That's not how restaurants work. Get up, we have to go talk to the hostess, there's a 30-minute wait."

Dylan also explains that bringing your own drinks into a restaurant is pretty shoddy behaviour.

And it has consequences, such as the breakfast menu being suddenly and mysteriously unavailable.

"'Oh you've been craving pancakes all day? We just ran out of batter'," he said.

"'Breakfast ended six minutes ago. No, we can't make more. You want me to convince them that they should be making breakfast after we ended it?

"'Probably shouldn't have brought your own coffees in then.'"

Predicting there would be people in the comments saying that they wouldn't be tipping Dylan if this happened to them, he added that he didn't care.

"When I behave like this, I assume I'm not getting a tip at all," he explained.

"Keep your six bucks I don't need it. You've given me something much more valuable than money. You've given me an opportunity for revenge."

Over in the comments and plenty of fellow servers agreed with Dylan's video.

One person wrote: "As a waitress I agree with everything you say here."

While another said: "As a frustrated bartender whose face speaks before I can formulate words, THISSSS."

And a third added: "I usually can tell when I’m not going to get tipped anyways so I act like the service you’re paying for."
