A Hueytown man was killed in a single-vehicle crash in western Jefferson County.

The Jefferson County Coroner’s Office identified fatality victim as Joshua Lee Strickland. He was 42.

The wreck happened at 11 p.m. Wednesday on Alabama 269, near Short Creek Road.

Authorities said Strickland was driving a pickup truck when the wreck happened. No other deaths were released.

Strickland was pronounced dead on the scene at 11:38 p.m.

The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office is investigating.
