The most important dog in F1 is back! Roscoe Hamilton has returned to support his dad, Lewis, at the British Grand Prix. This tradition of drivers bringing pets is loved by F1 enthusiasts. It also adds extra support and cuteness. Now, Roscoe has competition. Charles Leclerc‘s puppy, Leo is also making waves, cheering on his “papa” at Silverstone. Which pup’s good luck will make their dad’s weekend ‘pawsome’?

Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc, soon-to-be teammates, have brought their pets to the historic circuit. While Roscoe is a regular at Silverstone, it’s Leo’s first time. Leclerc has a special proposal for Hamilton: a play date for their dogs. He told Sky Sports, “I wanted to text Lewis to make them [Roscoe/Leo] meet.” Leclerc hopes the dogs can become friends before Hamilton’s move to Maranello next season.

Charles Leclerc added: “Leo is still very young, he doesn‘t have that many dog friends, so I will try to improve his social life a little bit.” So endearing. Dad looking out for his son and helping him to make new friends. Such a lucky dog to have such a caring parent! Leo is still new in F1, unlike Roscoe who is also considered the lucky charm. The fans love every bit of this pet interaction plan. Some called Hamilton’s pup the “top dog,” while others referred to Leo as Charles’ lucky charm!

For now, fans must wait for the play date between Roscoe and Leo to actually happen. Young Leo could make new friends in this process. The little puppy will have a better ‘social life’ [so cute!]. Until then, let’s take a look at all the F1 driver on the present grid who share a special relationship with their pets.

Charles Leclerc and the other drivers on the present grid who have animal friends

As most fans know, Charles always wanted a dog of his own. And in mid-April Leo Leclerc made headlines. Meanwhile, Lewis Hamilton’s pet Bulldog, Roscoe is a superstar in the Formula 1 community. Carlos Sainz‘s Wirehaired Pointer, Piñón is also quite popular among the fans. On the other hand, Williams’ No.1 Alexander Albon has a mini zoo. 13 cats, 2 horses, and a dog [the count could be more]! Valtteri Bottas owned a cat called Turbo and also owned a reindeer, Rosa. Unique choices by each individual. But one thing that’s common and constant in all the cases – the love for animals.

Animals are truly human’s dearest friends. Especially dogs. By adopting their pets, these F1 drivers have done a commendable job. While some pets have become veterans like their owners, some are just starting on this journey. Fans would love a Roscoe-Leo interaction soon. They too would be Ferrari  ‘teammates’ aren’t they?

Let’s see if Roscoe Hamilton’s lucky charm continues to do its magic at the British Grand Prix this weekend. Meanwhile, all eyes will be on Charles Leclerc, who’d also be on the track with the extra bit of good wishes from his puppy. Fans are anticipating the start of a new friendship that mirrors their owners’ soon-to-be partnership. As these pets capture hearts, the bond between F1 drivers and their animals adds warmth and connection for fans worldwide. What are your thoughts on this? Share below.
