The Al Musaafir Scholarship is a program designed to support students’ academic pursuits by providing financial assistance for IELTS/application fees, mentorship, and workshops. It aims to empower talented individuals to achieve academic excellence and contribute positively to the Muslim Ummah.

Requirements

• Be a Muslim.
• Be committed to pursuing higher education.
• Have completed their Bachelor’s degree.
• Demonstrate a commitment to serving the Muslim community.

Scholarship recipients are expected (but not limited) to:

• Participate actively in all scholarship-related activities, including workshops and mentorship sessions.
• Demonstrate a commitment to using their education to benefit the Muslim Ummah.
• Treat the scholarship as an Amanah (trust) from Allah and fulfill the associated responsibilities with dedication and integrity.

Selection Process

This may vary annually, but generally:

• Academic Knowledge: Demonstrated understanding and expertise in the applicant’s field of study.
• Confidence: Ability to articulate goals and present oneself effectively.
• Selfless Service to the Muslim Ummah: Previous experiences and contributions to the community.
• Proactiveness: Steps taken to prepare for the academic journey, such as additional qualifications or research.

The selection process typically includes:

• Initial screening of applications.
• Review and scoring of eligible applications based on predefined criteria.
• An interview stage for shortlisted candidates.
• Final selection based on cumulative scores and overall fit for the scholarship.

 Applicants who are not selected can request personalized feedback to understand their application’s strengths and areas for improvement. Information on how to request feedback will be provided in the notification email.
