Bayer Leverkusen salvaged a dramatic stoppage-time equalizer to stretch their unbeaten streak to 46 games after drawing with Stuttgart.

Robert Andrich was the hero, scoring in the 96th minute at the BayArena to secure a point for the already crowned Bundesliga champions.

Despite being down 2-0 after 56 minutes on Saturday, Leverkusen rallied to preserve their unbeaten record.

This dramatic comeback mirrors last week’s game against Borussia Dortmund, where Leverkusen also scored in added time to equalize.

Under Xabi Alonso’s leadership, Leverkusen clinched their first German title with five games to spare and are now chasing the first unbeaten season in Bundesliga history, with just three games remaining.

Stuttgart, sitting third in the league, initially took the lead shortly after halftime through Chris Fuhrich, followed by Deniz Undav’s goal nine minutes later.

Leverkusen reduced the deficit with a goal from Amine Adli, but it seemed Alonso’s side was on the brink of their first defeat this season until Andrich’s late goal inside a crowded penalty area.

A similar scenario unfolded last week when Josip Stanisic’s 97th-minute goal secured a 1-1 draw against Dortmund. Just days before, Jeremie Frimpong had struck in the 89th minute against West Ham in the Europa League, as Leverkusen continues their quest for a European title.

With an unbeaten record across all competitions this season—39 wins and seven draws, and only one game without scoring—Leverkusen is aiming for a remarkable treble in Alonso’s first full season, with the German Cup final and the Europa League semi-final against Roma coming up.
