The Lagos State command of the Nigeria Police Force has reportedly killed a nine-man suspected armed gang in a recent confrontation within the state.

The state Police Public Relations Officer, Benjamin Hundeyin, confirmed the development, adding that the suspects were killed during a gun duel with the police.

The command’s Special Squad One Team achieved the feat when it engaged the men around the Ajao, Okota, Isolo and Ladipo axis

They were about to abduct someone at Ladipo when the police foiled their operation. The incident happened around 8 pm on Thursday.Five AK-47 rifles and two SUV jeeps were recovered during the operation.
