Apple, a Cupertino-based tech giant, is reportedly considering the launch of iOS 17.5.2 for iPhone users, citing an anonymous user on X (formerly called Twitter), MacRumors reported. The tipster reportedly has a proven track record of leaks in the post. While no significant details are out about the minor IOS version, the update could carry the build number - "21F101".

However, in all possibilities, the update will not bring significant improvements. Considering the company is now focusing heavily on iOS 18 beta, the company is not expected to introduce massive tweaks or features to the OS. However, a few bug fixes, performance improvements and an updated security patch are anticipated. A precise timeline was not shared by the leaker. For context, the company announced iOS 17.5 on May 13.

A week after announcing the point update, the company addressed the deleted photos resurfacing bug within the Photos app with iOS 17.5.1. This was related to the database corruption issue, which brought back old photos on iPhones of some users. The company is reportedly testing iOS 17.6 and the developer versions of iOS 18.

9To5Mac anticipates the release of iOS 17.5.2 in the next two weeks. This could be followed by iOS 17.6 update. Meanwhile, the company is expected to unveil iOS 17's successor - iOS 18's stable build in September this year. The update will bring Apple Intelligence features for the latest Pro iPhones. The tech giant will roll out the public beta of the build this month.

While users expected a beta for a wider audience, the company today seeded iOS 18 beta 3 for developers. The update brings a host of new enhancements for Photos, Messages and more apps. Plus, Dark Mode icons for more apps and dynamic wallpapers are a part of the latest update. You can read more on the latest iOS 18 beta 3 update here.
