The Mogajis visited Ladoja at his residence in Bodija, Ibadan, to express their gratitude for his unwavering commitment to upholding Ibadan customs and traditions.

Chief Asimiyu Ariori, the leader of the Mogajis, praised Ladoja for his dedication to preserving the cultural heritage of Ibadan and noted that Ladoja had always been supportive whenever they sought his assistance, even in challenging circumstances.

In response, the former governor assured the Mogajis that the coronation of Oba Olakulehin as the next Olubadan was imminent. Ladoja revealed that he had agreed to withdraw the lawsuit he filed against the crowned high chiefs in order to facilitate Olakulehin’s enthronement.

He explained that the agreement between him and the crown-wearing high chiefs, which includes assurances regarding their rights and privileges, is in the final stages of preparation. Ladoja emphasized his willingness to sign the agreement promptly once it is presented to him.

Ladoja recounted his decision to take legal action when there were threats from the crown-wearing high chiefs and kingmakers regarding his potential appointment as Olubadan. While he expressed reluctance towards desperation, Ladoja emphasized the importance of addressing threats firmly.

Highlighting Oba Olakulehin’s traditional knocking ceremony as Olubadan-designate, Ladoja confirmed that his appointment as the Olubadan-elect had been conveyed to the government approximately three weeks ago.
