Manchester United legend, Paul Scholes, has expressed disapproval of Casemiro and Christian Eriksen being in the English Premier League team.

He criticised them following their lackluster performance in the Red Devils’ 4-0 defeat against Crystal Palace on Monday. Scholes suggested that the duo should not be at Man United.

Crystal Palace dominated with two goals in each half, including strikes from Michael Olise and Jean-Philippe Mateta.

According to HITC, Scholes particularly highlighted Casemiro’s struggles against Olise and questioned Eriksen’s suitability for a club of United’s caliber, citing a perceived lack of physicality in midfield.

The former England midfielder said; “You think of the likes of Casemiro, he’s tough to have a go at it. What a player he has been over the years, but that was tough to watch, he was on his backside most of the time.

It is not a two-horse race anymore. There are seven, eight [teams in the Premier League] who all go for the title, who all have very good squads. So if you want to go to the title, you have to construct that squad.”

The 54-year-old tactician is facing an uncertain future at United following a disappointing second season in charge. He has a year left on his contract, but he has been given no formal guarantees by new co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe that he will continue as manager beyond the summer.

Ten Hag has tried to bring in the likes of Frenkie de Jong and Harry Kane in the past but said the club’s decision to bring in younger players such as Rasmus Højlund means that he should be afforded patience to get things right.…Continue The Full Reading.>’.
