…urges police to investigate fake party members.

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has accused the Kano State government of organizing another bunch of non-APC members to malign their party and reaffirm the purported suspension of the National Party Chairman.

A statement by the APC on Sunday stressed that the characters, recently claiming to be the bona –fide executive of the party in Gaduje Ward were fake, non – party members and ill –minded characters, who were unknown to the party at all levels.

The statement was signed by the APC Chairman and Secretary of Ganduje Ward in Dawakin Tofa Local Government of the state, Ahmed Muhammed Ganduje and Usaini Jibrin.

The party at the ward level observed that it had not conducted any fresh party elections to result in the emergence of a new ward executive

“To the best of our knowledge, as executive members of Ganduje Ward of the APC, there was no new election of new leadership of our party. We remain the same executive of the ward,” the statement held .

The APC lamented that the sponsored group made use of a fake or a non- certified copy of APC head paper to draw up a list of non- existing party executive members, with the intention to mislead the unsuspecting public.

“To worsen their situation, the leader of the group is an established NNPP member, who contested but lost the Councilor election in the ward not long ago, they declared.

The party urged the police to arrest and prosecute the group members for impersonation and deliberate attempt to cause disaffection within their party.

Prior to their reaction, a statement signed by the purported APC ward members, claiming to be the authentic executive of Ganduje Ward since the 31st July, 2021, was circulated in the press.

Spokesman of the group, Ja’afar Adamu Ganduje in the statement had reaffirmed the suspension of the National Chairman on the grounds of alleged anti-party activities. He had equally accused him of failure to pay his statutory party dues.

He had stressed that the two earlier factions claiming to be authentic APC executive of Ganduje Ward level were fake while threatening to institute a legal action against them.
