Manchester United forward Mason Greenwood wants his future sorting out in the next week.

Sources say Greenwood is growing impatient with uncertainty over where he will be playing in the new season.

The one-cap England international, 22, is understood to be cool on the idea of a move to Marseille and still favours a permanent switch to Spain, where he spent last term on loan with Getafe.

Valencia have already lodged a £25million bid for Greenwood, who United value at around £40m, while Barcelona and Atletico Madrid are keeping close tabs on developments. Italian giants Juventus and Lazio are also credited with firm interest in the United academy graduate.

Greenwood is desperate to have his future sorted, having already begun his own personal pre-season training.

He has been put through his paces on a £100-an-hour plastic pitch in Manchester, working alongside Shola Shoretire - himself looking to leave United in his quest for regular first-team football this season.

Greenwood spent last term on loan in Spain with Getafe, and president Angel Torres would love to have him back in the Spanish capital.

He told Radio Marca in May: "If it depends on the boy and the parents, he will continue another year. Manchester, the news we have from last week, the thing is that if there is a good offer they would like to sell. Because he is not going to return there.

The Three Lions are among the favourites to win this summer's Euro 2024 tournament and you can get your hands on the brand new Nike home and away kits before the first whistle.

"So we are going to have to wait a month and a half or two months, until the end of June. But it depends on him and the family. They are very comfortable and very happy with the fans.

"He had not played for 16 months when he arrived and we have recovered him, he has scored eight goals in the League and two in the Cup and he has given a great performance."
