Oyebanji’s Aide Hails Police Over Arrest Of Killer Squad Members In Ekiti

Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Honourable Ayodeji Adarabierin, has commended the Ekiti Police Command over her clinical operation which led to the arrest of some members of a killer squad terrorising the people of Ekiti.

Adarabierin, who is the Pioneer Patron of the Police Community Relation Committee, PCRC (Youth wing) Ekiti State command said that with arrest of hoodlums  the people of Ekiti sound have a sigh of relief 

He maintained the  spontaneous reaction will no doubt send sting signals to other criminals hibernating in Ekiti.

 Adarabierin who is equally the Senior Special Assistance to the governor on tax and revenue matters, said that the quick intervention of the law enforcement Agency led to the arrest of notorious criminals who unleashed mayhem on some POS operators and individuals in Ado the state Capital in the recent time.

 “With the arrest of these criminal elements, the State Capital would witness some degree of peace as the gang constitutes a major percentage of the violent crimes being perpetrated in recent time.

“We are all aware of the various damages these set of criminals had done to law abiding citizens in the state, especially the souls they have taken during their operations and I sincerely want to appreciate the efforts of the police in the state for making these arrest possible and I urged them to sustain the tempo in the ongoing war against crimes in our society.”

He also applauded the Governor of the state, Mr Biodun Oyebanji for his resilience and support for the Police to ensure that the state is free and rid of all kinds of criminal activities.

“I cannot thank enough Governor Oyebanji for the logistics and moral support he gave in the process of actualizing this feat as well as his dogged and resilience to fight crime in the state. As the Chief Security Officer of the state, he has shown capacity and tenacity in way and manner he discharges his policing duties and his records of achievements speaks for itself,” Adarabierin stated.

The former House of Assembly Aspirant in Ado Constituency 1 appealed to Ekiti youths to steer clear of criminal activities that could lead them into trouble.

The PCRC Patron, urged residents of the state to keep supporting the police and other security Agencies with relevant information to help them secure the state better, adding that security is everybody business.

Mr Adarabierin said that as the Pioneer Patron of the PCRC he would continue to engage relevant stakeholders in the security sector on how to ensure that the state remain peaceful.

He noted that no meaningful development can be achieved in an atmosphere devoid of peace, hence the need to sustain the present tranquility in the state in order to give room for more development under the present administration.
