Former US president Donald Trump ,is set to face trial in September the 18th of this year instead of next week , after the US Supreme Court Judge postponed it’s sentencing following challenges on Triumph legal team.

The Republican presidential candidate has been convicted on 34 counts of falsifying business records with the intent of influencing the 2016 elections.

Trump was found guilty of paying an adult film star $160,000 to keep her mouth shut for  having an affair with him  after his wife had given birth to their son.

Trump did this to ensure he had no scandals that could derail his effort  politically during the 2016 elections .  His lawyers have now asked a New York state Judge to delay the sentencing in an attempt  to try to vacate the convictions .

The Supreme Court on Monday, went ahead to rule that the former US president is immune for prosecution for so-called official Acts, these are Acts  taken while he is still president .

The judge said he will allow Trump’s lawyers to try and make an argument to vacate the convictions  as well as the sentencing .

According to the prosecutor’s office,it does not object to Trump’s lawyers’ argument but if they fail to win, then he will be left with no other choice but to schedule his trial for September this year.

Donald Trump was the 45th president of the United States and was only privileged  to serve a one term tenure.During his tenure ,he implemented various policies on immigration such as the Muslim Ban which restricted the entry of Muslim immigrants from several Muslim countries but was later revised by the Supreme Court.

These policies were part of Trump’s agenda to reduce illegal immigration and secure the US borders .

The United States presidential election is scheduled to take place on November 5th this year.It will be the 60th quadrennial presidential election. An election that is held after every four years.

The former US president has now officially run as a presidential candidate four times now.
