The production company Kinoteka has unveiled the first teaser for the feature film “Dražen,” which for the first time brings the story of the legendary late Croatian basketball player Dražen Petrović to the big screen.

“Dražen” chronicles the life of the legendary basketball player Dražen Petrović, from his childhood in Šibenik to his tragic death in 1993.

The film was shot on authentic locations in Šibenik, Zagreb, New Jersey, and New York, adding to the emotional depth of the story.

The film, which delves into Dražen’s life beyond the basketball court, filled with both beautiful and challenging moments, has sparked significant public interest from the very beginning of its production.

Scenes from the set convincingly transport viewers back to the 1970s.

The teaser opens with young Dražen, portrayed by the talented actor Tonko Stošić from Šibenik, during his early basketball days.

The role of an older Dražen Petrović is played by actor Domagoj Nižić.

The release date in cinemas is planned for 22 October 2024, which would have been Dražen Petrović’s 60th birthday.
