Nigerian afrobeats singer Ayra Starr has stated that Nigeria and the United Kingdom are a lot alike.

The popular vocalist claimed that British and Nigerian cultures are "very similar."

Ayra Starr made this assertion during a recent interview with Capital Xtral, based in London.

She said: “I feel like the UK is very similar to Nigeria. The culture is not much different."

Ayra Starr also discussed her recently finished tour with American singer, Chris Brown.

She added: “Going on tour with Chris Brown was eye-opening."

Ayra Starr also expressed her hope that she had written SZA's song "Snooze" and Rihanna's "B**ch Better Have My Money." She added that she wished to move to New York.

Ayra Starr recently had an encounter with her idol Rihanna at the FENTY x PUMA Creeper Phatty Earth Tone launch party in London.

She immediately struck up a discussion with the Barbadian singer, clearly star-struck.

They talked about future collaboration ideas, and Rihanna expressed how excited she was to collaborate with Tems, a Nigerian singer, as well as Ayra.
