Guwahati: Amidst the deluge that has wreaked havoc in Assam and other Northeastern states over the past few weeks, Assam chief minister on Thursday asserted that the flood situation would be under control if there was no further rain in neighbouring Arunachal Pradesh and South Tibet.

“The situation is under control, and if there are no further rains in Arunachal and South Tibet, things will improve,” Chief Minister Sarma said.

“Be it funds or the support of NDRF and armed forces, the central government is standing completely with the people of Assam,” he assured.
