Pastor Olusola Oladeji of Passover Faith Christian Center has emphasized the critical role of the church in addressing Nigeria’s challenges, asserting that “God is the solution to any challenge that a nation may be passing through.”

Speaking on Sunday during the Mid-year Interdenominational Thanksgiving and Encounter Service at Passover Faith Christian Center in Osogbo, Pastor Oladeji addressed the congregation, highlighting the need for spiritual intervention in tackling the nation’s problems.

He identified poverty as a product of mentality, ignorance, and laziness, advising both believers and non-believers that the foremost solution to Nigeria’s challenges is turning to God.

Acknowledging recent economic policies, Pastor Oladeji noted President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s intentions behind removing fuel subsidies and making decisions on foreign exchange. He warned that without spiritual support through prayers, these policies could have negative impacts on the populace.

Calling for nationwide spiritual mobilization, the cleric urged every state government to establish altars of strong intercession for the nation, starting from Aso Rock and extending to every state.

“The purpose of this program is to give thanks to God for the first half of the year and receive grace for the remaining year,” he explained.

“God is the solution to any challenge that a nation may be passing through, and the solution is in the church. Nothing is far above God,” Pastor Oladeji stated. “Poverty is a product of mentality, ignorance, and laziness. I advise both believers and non-believers to realize that the number one solution to the challenge of this nation is to turn to God. Nigeria needs healing, but we have to turn to God before He can heal Nigeria. There is hope for Nigeria if we can turn to Him truly.”

He continued, “It is the prayers of the saints that have kept Nigeria to this level. If we stop praying, things will begin to degenerate. No matter how much we have prayed, we must keep on praying until our joy comes. There is a God in heaven who answers prayer.”

“President Bola Ahmed Tinubu wishes Nigerians well with his decisions on fuel subsidy removal and foreign exchange. However, these decisions, without being backed by spiritual prayers, can have adverse effects on the people. Governance is warfare more than economic calculation. The best economic calculations will fail if God does not step in. Let every government at any level raise an altar of intercession for this nation, from the federal to every state. Let them gather believers who will genuinely pray for this nation. We will see tremendous results,” he concluded.

Also speaking, Reverend Dr. Ayo Ibilomo expressed gratitude for the service, urging clergymen to focus on the doctrine of salvation to lead perishing souls to repentance and dedication to their Creator. He encouraged clergymen in the country to embrace messages of holiness in their respective churches to draw people nearer to God.
