New President and CEO Named for WVU Medicine Jackson General Hospital

Candace N. Miller, an experienced professional, has been appointed as the new president and CEO of WVU Medicine Jackson General Hospital in Ripley, starting July 15. Transition in Leadership Miller will be taking over the reins from Stephanie McCoy, who has held the position for 13 years and is now retiring. Professional Background and Experience Miller brings a wealth of experience from OhioHealth in Columbus, where she held various leadership positions. Her responsibilities included system-wide resource management, patient flow optimization, and collaboration with care site CEOs to enhance operational efficiency. Miller's previous roles at OhioHealth and O'Bleness Hospital showcased her expertise in healthcare administration and quality management. Educational Background A native of Mason County, Miller holds a bachelor's degree in healthcare administration from Marshall University. Additionally, she earned a Master of Business Administration with a focus on finance from Colorado Technical University. Exciting Developments Miller's appointment coincides with the recent opening of Jackson General Hospital's new $35 million patient care wing. She expressed her excitement about returning to West Virginia and leading the hospital during this transformative phase.
