Pierce Brosnan is not too old for a night out with his mother.

The family man, 71, was spotted walking hand-in-hand with his 90-year-old mother, Mary May Smith, out in London on Saturday, July 6. The adorable duo had spent the evening at a private members’ club called Oswald’s. In the photos obtained by Daily Mail, Brosnan looked dapper in a black suit and button-up shirt, as well as a pair of black dress shoes and Aviator-style glasses.

Mary was dressed for the occasion in black trousers, a black jacket, and a coordinating black-and-white striped top. She carried a walking stick and appeared to be in good spirits. They both flashed million-watt smiles to the paparazzi as they walked around holding hands. The False Positive actor is definitely making the most of his time with his mother while he can.

Brosnan, who grew up in a small town in southern Ireland, previously told Cigar Aficionado that he didn’t get to spend as much time with his mother growing up as he would have liked. His father was not present in his life, and his mother had to go to England to work to provide for the family. “My mother came home once a year, twice a year. Consequently, there was a certain amount of early loss in that young boy’s life,” he told the publication.

However, Brosnan clearly has no ill will toward his mother for the absence, describing her as “very courageous.” The Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again star, who has been married to American journalist Keely Shaye Smith since 2001, knows what it takes to raise children. His late daughter Charlotte (who passed away at 41) and sons Christopher, 51, and Sean, 40, are from his marriage to late wife Cassandra Harris.

Christopher and Sean were Cassandra’s children with Dermot Harris, but after Dermot passed in 1986, Brosnan adopted both of them and raised them like his own. Pierce and Cassandra welcomed son Sean in 1983. In 1991, Cassandra passed away due to ovarian cancer, the same disease that would later affect Charlotte. Brosnan and his now-wife Smith welcomed son Dylan in 1997, and youngest child Paris in 2001.
