The Omen Transformation in Elden Ring turns players into the Lamenter boss found in Shadow of the Erdtree. Tarnished will face numerous enemies and discover a wide variety of unique items. None are as mysterious as the

Lamenter's Mask
. As players explore the DLC, they'll discover new aspects of the game. You will need to go out of your way to get the Omen Transformation, yet there doesn't seem to be any effect other than taking on a new form.

The Shadow Realm is a large map with plenty of hidden areas. While exploring, Tarnished can find a total of three new items that change their form. One of them is the Priestess Heart, which allows you to become a dragon in Elden Ring. The requirements to use each transformation item are the same. You must remove all your armor and the only way to revert forms is by dying. Players can keep their weapons and talismans equipped, but the Head, Body, Legs, and Hand slots should be empty.

Igon's Harpoon and Igon's Greatbow are obtained from an extremely challenging boss, Igon, in Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree.

How To Get The Lamenter's Mask (Omen Transformation)

Tarnished Must Clear Lamenter's Gaol

The Lamenter's Mask can be found inside the Lamenter's Gaol. This location can be tricky to get to in Elden Ring's DLC, because you will need to travel northwest of Charo's Hidden Grave Site of Grace. Fortunately, a visual guide can be found on the Arekkz Gaming YouTube channel.

Tarnished will need to travel south along the road from the Castle Front Site of Grace. Enter the Dragon's Pit and jump down to the bottom to fight the Ancient Dragon Man boss to reach the Foot of the Jagged Peak. Hug the right until you reach a giant dead dragon at the Grand Altar of Dragon Communion. Travel northwest through Charo's Hidden Grave and enter the Lamenter's Gaol.

The entrance to the Lamenter's Gaol is littered with empty cages.

This is a difficult dungeon and should only be attempted by skilled players when first entering Shadow of the Erdtree. At the end of the Lamenter's Gaol, you will find the boss that gives the cave its namesake, the Lamenter. The fight itself is not too challenging. The Lamenter will teleport around and create clones. When dismissed, each surviving clone applies a debuff and max stacks will instantly kill. Tarnished should also be aware that the boss can also expand the size of its head and thrust it out to do damage. Once defeated, the Lamenter's Mask will be yours.

When using the Lamenter's Mask item, your character will grovel on the ground and turn into an Omen Lamenter. You will gain extra physical and magical defense to offset the lack of armor. Additionally, Tarnished will gain 8 Arcane. All transformations grant extra resistances too. Using the mask again will cause your head to swell like the boss's attack. While the Omen Transformation may not appear to be as good as the others, there may be some hidden properties the community has yet to discover in Elden Ring.
