Since 1972, the company has produced over 8,000 examples of the Citation family jets, making it one of the most popular business jet series’. 4 Cessna Citation CJ4 Gen2

The Cessna Citation CJ4 Gen2 is the newer version of the latest and currently the most popular jet in the manufacturer’s Citation Jets lineup. The newer version of the iconic CJ4 was revealed in February 2021 with new lighting, enhanced passenger comfort, and a lower point of entry. The equipped price of the Citation CJ4 Gen2 is $12.2 million.

The aircraft is powered by two Williams FJ44 engines, each producing 3,600 lbf (16.1 kN) of takeoff thrust. The CJ4 competes with the Embraer Phenom 300 in terms of capacity, performance, and fuel efficiency. In April 2023, the manufacturer delivered its 400th CJ4 aircraft. According to the Senior Vice President of Global Sales and Flight Operations at Textron Aviation,

3 Cessna Citation Ascend

Although not in service yet, the Cessna Ascend is up on the market. Slightly larger than the Citation Excel, the new Ascend can seat up to 12 people and follow the performance and pricing of the Excel. Introduced in 2022, the aircraft has an equipped price of $16.7 million. Textron Aviation plans to bring the Citation Ascend into service in 2025.

The Citation Ascend will be powered by two Pratt & Whitney PW545D turbofan engines, each producing approximately 4,100 lbf (18.6 kN) of takeoff thrust. According to Textron Aviation,

The Citation Latitude, a super midsized business jet, was revealed at the 2011 NBAA convention. Textron Aviation began deliveries of the first jets in August 2014. With an equipped price of $17 million, the Citation Latitude features a flat floor, a spacious cabin for up to nine passengers, and modern avionics systems.

Paramount Business Jets states that the average hourly cost of the Citation Latitude is $5,800, whereas the average purchase price of a pre-owned Citation Latitude is $12 million. Two Pratt & Whitney Canada PW306D1 turbofan engines power the aircraft, each generating approximately 6,000 lbf (26 kN) of takeoff thrust. As of May, Cessna delivered over 400 examples of the Latitude jet.

The Citation Longitude is the largest business jet in Cessna’s business jet lineup. The stretched version of the Latitude has a typical seating capacity of 12 passengers. The equipped price of the Citation Longitude is between $26.5 million and $28 million, depending on the customer’s requirements.

Paramount Business Jets states that the average acquisition price of a new Citation Longitude is $27 million, while the average hourly rental is approximately $5,950. Two Honeywell HTF7700 engines power the aircraft, each producing 7,665 lbf (34.1 KN) of takeoff thrust. Since production began in September 2019, the manufacturer has delivered over 100 examples of the Citation Longitude.
