The Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) has condemns the recent suicide bombings in Gwoza town, Borno State.

CAN expressed concern over the resurgence of such attacks, and urged the Nigerian government to step up efforts to protect all citizens, especially those in vulnerable areas.

According to the Association, the attacks in Gwoza are a harsh reminder of how terrorism threatens everyone’s lives.

Archbishop Daniel Okoh, President of CAN, expressed these concerns in Abuja. He called on religious leaders and all Nigerians to unite against terrorism and violence, promoting peace and harmony instead.

“The national leadership of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) is deeply worried by the recent suicide attacks in Gwoza, Borno State, which have claimed numerous lives and injured many others.

“We are concerned about the resurgence of suicide bombing in our country and the threat it poses to the lives and livelihoods of Nigerians. This senseless act of violence is a stark reminder of the evil that terrorism represents, and the need for collective action to defeat it,” he said.
