Nicole White (L) and Jai Richards (R) began their journey towards marriage 19 years ago, advocating for the legalization of same-sex marriage in Saskatchewan. Their love story blossomed at the Gay and Lesbian Health Services, now known as OUT Saskatoon, where a protest sparked a connection that led to their vows.

Choosing to marry in Saskatchewan rather than Ontario, Richards and White fought for legislative change within their community, taking legal action to ensure marriage equality for all. Their union symbolized a significant step towards inclusivity and equal rights.
