Traffic closures will also concern roundabouts, alternatively.

As part of the maintenance of the national road network, the Massif Central interdepartmental roads directorate will carry out road repair work on the Rieucros viaduct.

This operation will take place over four nights, from Monday 1st to Friday July 5th, in the town of Mende, between the eastern roundabout, with the RD806, known as du Chastel, and the western roundabout, with the RN1088 ring road. -RD42. It will consist of renewing the wearing course on the viaduct as well as on the roundabouts located on each side of the structure. The RN1088 ring road will also be closed to traffic.

Closures and diversions

Traffic restrictions will take place from Monday 1st to Friday July 5th, from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. (4 nights), the Rieucros viaduct will be closed to traffic; nights from Monday 1st to Tuesday 2nd then from Wednesday 3rd to Thursday July 4th, from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. (2 nights), the roundabout is, with the RD 806, known as du Chastel, will be closed to traffic, a diversion will be set up via avenue Nelson-Mandela (except PL) and the nights of Tuesday 2 to Wednesday 3 then from Thursday 4 to Friday 5 July, from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. (2 nights), the western roundabout (in part) as well as the RN 1088 ring road will be closed to traffic. An alternation will be put in place at the roundabout in order to maintain traffic on the RD42.

In the event of bad weather which prevents the proper execution of the work, additional closures on the nights of Monday 8 to Wednesday July 10 will be necessary.
