Nigeria’s Olorunleke Ojo made his debut for Al Merreikh with a clean sheet on Wednesday, as the goalkeeper played against Nialla Valley and helped secure a 2-0 victory.

Ojo recently signed a two-year contract with the Sudanese club, but had to wait until the end of the 2023/24 Nigeria Premier Football League season before joining Al Merreikh officially.

The 28-year-old goalkeeper has previously played for NPFL clubs such as Kano Pillars, Sunshine Stars, Akwa United, Abia Warriors, and Enyimba.

Ojo also represented Nigeria as the third-choice goalkeeper during the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations in Cote d’Ivoire.
