In a dramatic turn of events, the Chairman of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) in Kano, Hashimu Budurawa, has dismissed the suspension of Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf and Dr Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, calling the individuals behind the move “sponsored, unrecognized, and paid agents of the opposition.”

Budurawa alleged that the individuals were expelled from the party for anti-party activities and connivance with the opposition, and accused the ruling government and APC chairman of orchestrating the move to destabilise NNPP.

He assured that the party remains one of the biggest emerging parties in the country.

“NNPP will present the next president of the nation. We know those who are behind the purported suspension, the forces are sponsored by the ruling government and the ruling chairman of APC,” he claimed.

The chairman’s statement comes despite the factional NNPP’s National Executive Committee (NEC) affirming the suspension and expulsion of the duo.
