Users who shared the pictures and videos online claimed that Mahua Moitra and Saayoni Ghosh were dozing off during the inaugural session of the 18th Lok Sabha. "West Bengal's Krishna Nagar MP Mahua Moitra and Jadavpur MP Sayani Ghosh spent the whole night thinking about the development projects of respective regions. However, were Mahua Moitra and Saayoni Ghosh really sleeping in the Parliament's lower house? It must be noted that the claim is false. Neither Mahua Moitra nor Saayoni Ghosh were asleep during the session of the Lok Sabha.
