Justin Frimpong Kodua, the General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has firmly rejected allegations that the party is adopting the National Democratic Congress (NDC) ‘s campaign strategy.

This response comes from comments made by the NDC’s General Secretary, Fifi Fiavi Kwetey, accusing the NPP of replicating its approach to engaging voters across Ghana.

In an interview on JoyNews’ The Pulse, Kodua labelled the claims as “preposterous.” He emphasized that engaging with voters and communities during election campaigns is a standard practice that all political parties undertake.

“We’re not copying anyone. We’re engaging voters just like every other party. Wherever we go, other parties also go. We’ve visited constituencies where their presidential candidate hasn’t been yet. Does that mean they’re copying us when they eventually visit?” Kodua rebutted.

Highlighting the fundamental right of political parties to interact extensively with voters nationwide, Kodua asserted that such engagement forms a crucial part of democratic processes leading up to the December 7 general elections.

The NPP’s response underscores its commitment to its campaign strategy and initiatives as it prepares for the upcoming electoral contest in Ghana.
