Chelsea are favourites to re-sign N’Golo Kante according to Gambling.com.

The Blues offloaded the Frenchman last summer as he joined the Saudi Pro League influx, signing for Al-Ittihad, as his time at Stamford Bridge was over because of the players age and performances.

However, despite turning 34 in March, he has been a standout player for France during this summer’s European Championships and has looked every inch the player that helped the Blues win so many titles over the years.

That has led to some stunning reports in the media which have claimed that he could be heading back to the Premier League – but despite the fact Chelsea allowed the Frenchman to leave – it is claimed that the Blues are now favourites to get a potential deal done.

“The idea of Kante returning to CHELSEA after 12 months away may be hard to imagine at first,” Grea Lea, Gambling.com’s football betting analyst said.

“But the Blues are the 7/4 favourites to re-sign a player who won a Premier League title, an FA Cup and the Champions League across seven years at Stamford Bridge.

“Chelsea could certainly do with adding more experience to the ranks. They ended the last campaign strongly, but the departure of Mauricio Pochettino means 2024/25 could be another season of transition. Kante’s know-how would help to smooth the process.

“However, it is still difficult to envisage this deal actually happening. Kante is 33 years of age and Chelsea would surely prefer a younger ball-winner.”

Look, Kante has been brilliant for France this tournament – but he will not make the move back to CHELSEA anytime soon – we cant even see him coming back to the Premier League – he is getting far too much money in Saudi Arabia.
