Nnamdi Kanu has been in the custody of the Department of State Services (DSS) since June 2021 after his arrest in Kenya and subsequent repatriation to Nigeria. Despite several court rulings granting him bail, the Nigerian government has persistently refused to release him, resulting in his prolonged detention. In light of this, Primate Ayodele has warned that Kanu’ s continued imprisonment could lead to his demise if he does not plead for his freedom.

This advice from Primate Ayodele comes at a time when Southeast governors and senators have collectively decided to approach President Bola Tinubu to seek a political resolution to Kanu’ s detention. The prolonged incarceration of the IPOB leader has been a significant point of contention, with various stakeholders advocating for a solution.

During his address, Primate Ayodele also prophesied the eventual breakup of Nigeria, asserting that this disintegration would occur without violence and would not be caused by figures like Nnamdi Kanu or Yoruba Nation agitator, Sunday Igboho. He stated, ” Nigeria will break but not through Nnamdi Kanu or Sunday Igboho. Kanu should beg the government before he is released or else he will die in jail. He should hands off because he lacks the capacity to carry the agitation. The country will break without a bloodbath; it will be a natural cause. ”

Ayodele’ s predictions and advice reflect the complex and volatile political landscape in Nigeria. The ongoing detention of Nnamdi Kanu has been a flashpoint for regional tensions and has drawn significant attention both domestically and internationally. His call for Kanu to beg for his release, alongside his broader prophecy of Nigeria’ s breakup, underscores the urgency and gravity of the current situation.

The prophecy about Nigeria’ s future and the role of spiritual discontent adds a layer of complexity to the nation’ s political discourse. It suggests that the issues at hand are not merely political but also deeply rooted in the spiritual and historical fabric of the country. As such, the response of political leaders, activists, and the public to these predictions and advice will likely shape Nigeria’ s trajectory in the coming years.
