Chelsea have snapped up Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall from Leicester City for a fee of £30m.

The 25-year-old midfielder came up through the ranks at Leicester City, and was in the academy when N’Golo Kante was playing for them.

Dewsbury-Hall has revealed how he was actually tasked with cleaning Kante’s boots.

Dewsbury-Hall recalled in an old interview, as he stated: “There was a list on the changing room doors & there was a list pf the lads and who’s boots they got (to clean). I got to my name & I see N’Golo Kante.

“He was flying at the time, I thought: I need to make sure this guys boots are absolutely spotless every day, because if he starts playing bad I don’t want anyone to blame it on his boots being dirty.

“I’d see him on the training ground ever so often and he’d be like thanking me for his boots because he’s such a nice guy.”
