The Toyota Supra with the six-speed manual is an incredible driver's car, but what if it isn't your cup of tea? It drives wonderfully, but there's no denying it's basically a BMW in a polarizing Toyota outfit. Plus, 380 horsepower isn't what it used to be, especially when you're paying $65,275 for the 45th Anniversary Edition.

This is why we've compiled a list of used alternatives perfect for those wanting to scratch that manual sports car itch. We've aimed to find cars that offer the same RWD, manual driving experience the Supra does, but given that this is a dying class, we had to expand our search a tad.

CarBuzz used Kelly Blue Book as a reference and only considered cars with 50,000 miles or fewer, none of which were more than 10 years old.

1 2020 Chevrolet Camaro SS

The first choice on this list is one that recently kicked the bucket, which we still haven't gotten over yet. The Camaro was the ultimate Pony Car, offering the best handling out of the Detroit Big Three without giving up what it means to be a muscle car. The potent V8 has power for days and will have you burning your rear tires with very little effort, whether you want to or not. Fortunately, with all the money you've saved by not purchasing a brand-new Supra, you'll have plenty left over to replace them at your leisure.

2 2020 BMW M2 Competition

A used M2 is going to be one of your best bets when trying to get something close to the feel of the Supra because they use the same iconic and reliable B58 engine. Rear-wheel drive, a six-speed manual, and an inline-six, all combined in a small package, have made the M2 one of the most beloved driver's cars of the past 10 years. The benefit of going slightly older on an M2 is you won't have to look even more ridiculous driving around in a brand-new G87 model, which may have more polarizing looks than the Supra.

3 2015 Porsche 718 Cayman S

The Cayman already has an advantage against its competitors given its mid-engine architecture, and this is only made all the better thanks to the extra oomph you get from the 3.6-liter engine in the S model. Sure, you could opt for the GTS model and its extra horsepower, but the torque will be the same, and they'll run you about $10,000 more. We think the S is the sweet spot.

The Cayman and Boxster may also be considered an investment these days. While the upcoming EV will live alongside the ICE models, the flat-six won't be around for another generation. As soon as the gas-powered Cayman is dead, these older models are bound to increase in value.

4 2017 Chevy Corvette Grand Sport

The C7 Corvette may have been the greatest of all time, offering gorgeous looks with genuine supercar-beating performance. The sweet spot of the range was the Grand Sport trim, which could be had with a seven-speed manual and offered a slew of performance goodies over the base Stingray. This was performance you could truly feel in the corners, as it recorded wicked levels of grip, and will still hold its own against newer sports cars around a racetrack to this day.

5 2018 Jaguar F-Type

We already miss the Jaguar F-Type, even though you'll be able to find them on dealer lots at least until the end of the year. A gorgeous vehicle that aged like fine wine, it will go down in history as a quintessentially British sports car. It drives incredibly, and the grunt from the supercharged V6 is sure to give you enough grunt whenever you need it. If you're looking for downright good looks, this is the vehicle to opt for, just save up a little more in case something goes wrong.

6 2016 Hyundai Genesis Coupe

This is perhaps the model most out of left field on this list, but hear us out. While the Genesis Coupe never received a lot of love during its life thanks to having a mix of muscle car and drift car aspirations but never nailing either, it offered a rather potent naturally aspirated V6 and could be had with a six-speed manual. 2016 is the last model year for the coupe, and we wouldn't go much older due to mileage, but it could be a great way of scratching the enthusiast itch for pretty darn cheap.

7 2021 Ford Mustang GT

You knew this suggestion was coming eventually. The Mustang, while not a direct replacement for the Supra, would do an admirable job and has the benefit of offering more power and extra room to boot. While it may not drive as superbly as the Camaro, the Mustang has become a real driver's car in recent years, with the S550 generation really kicking off the trend and the one you should be looking at.

8 2018 Cadillac ATS-V

The ATS-V is a model that far too often falls under the radar, and we're determined to change that. This is the American alternative to high-performance German luxury cars, and it delivers hands-down in the performance department. A six-speed manual is standard, and it can shoot off 3.8-second sprints to 60 mph like it's nothing. While it may not have always had the luxury of its competitors, it should stack up nicely against the Supra.

9 Nissan 370Z

We know this one would be a hard sell, but there's merit to its inclusion on the list. While the 370Z outstayed its welcome and its successor is currently on sale, used models now present themselves as performance bargains. Sure, the interior is outdated, and the driving experience isn't considered as sharp as it once was, but when you're buying one for less than $30,000 lightly used, it begins to make a ton more sense stacked against competitors much less powerful.

10 Chevrolet SS

While this last choice steps out of bounds just a bit with the addition of two more doors, we believe its uniqueness and exceptional character deserve consideration. The SS was a misunderstood vehicle in its time, but at its core, it was an attractive V8 sedan with 415 horsepower on tap and a six-speed manual sending power to the rear wheels. It was a Dodge Charger, but without all the extra fuss, and ever since it departed our shores, enthusiasts have slowly come to realize what we lost.
