Record Heat Builds in the Pacific Northwest this Week

weathernationtv.com 2024/10/5

Temperatures are soaring across the West Coast and in the Pacific Northwest through the weekend with temperatures in the 90s along I-5 even with 100s inland. Records may fall through the weekend and even into the week ahead.

The ridge of high pressure that has been keeping California toasty will continue to build inland and rise temperatures through the middle and end of next week.

As the ridge of high pressure responsible for the heat continues to sit along the west coast we will see temperatures stay toasty through the middle of next week. Temperatures will be warmest on Tuesday and Wednesday.

If you live without A/C this week will be dangerous for you - please make sure you plan accordingly by preparing your home and seeking out cool spaces. Malls, movie theaters and community cooling centers are the best places to stay.
