Arsenal are looking to bring some money in this summer for a number of the players who are proving surplus to requirement.

Mikel Arteta‘s side have been pushing Manchester City all the way at the top of the table for the last two seasons now.

And in that time, Arsenal have continued to develop their squad with the addition of new players.

Naturally, that will lead to players finding themselves struggling to earn game time at the Emirates with the Gunners having developed considerably over recent years.

With Arsenal looking to finally leapfrog City at the top of the table, room is going to be needed to be made by offloading some of their current crop.

Some of Arteta’s squad already find themselves on the transfer list and it seems there is one player who they’re keen to get off the books.

Arsenal willing to accept just £13m for midfielder

One of the players who Arsenal are considering selling this summer is striker Eddie Nketiah who has really struggled to earn minutes over the last year.

But it has been claimed the Gunners are looking for a whopping fee of £50m for Nketiah this summer.

Considering there are several players who Arsenal could be willing to part ways with this summer, Arteta could be handed a considerable boost to his transfer kitty.

According to ABC, Arsenal are looking for a fee of €15m (£13m) this summer for the signature of Albert Sambi Lokonga.

But the report does claim the north London side would be willing to sanction Lokonga’s exit this summer on an initial loan basis.

However, Edu Gaspar would want Sevilla – who are credited with the interest – to hold the obligation to buy the midfielder at the end of the deal.

Sevilla cautious over committing to Albert Sambi Lokonga deal

Although Arsenal are willing to take a loss on Lokonga having initially bought him for £18m back in 2021 it is still proving a fee which Sevilla are not prepared to commit to.

The report claims talks are continuing over a potential deal between the two sides with a solution being spoken about over the obligatory purchase fee.

Lokonga has been loaned out over the last two seasons and it’s said in the report Arteta has approved his exit this summer.

So it will be interesting to see just how much of a loss Arsenal are willing to accept in order to get a player Vincent Kompany hailed “special” off the books.
