Since the event was strictly by invitation, it has been speculated that perhaps the Afrobeats singer did not invite these celebrities who missed the event. It has also been rumoured that some people were invited but chose not to attend.

Davido threw social media into a frenzy on Sunday, June 23, after he shared pre-wedding photos of his wedding with Chioma Adeleke on his X account. Sparking more reactions was when the couple had a luxurious and grand ceremony that individuals from all walks of life attended.

Below are some celebrities who missed Davido's wedding

1. Wizkid

Even though it was expected that Grammy Award-winning singer Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun better known as Wizkid would not attend his rival, Davido's wedding, many thought he could have shamed his detractors and 30BG fans by attending the lavish wedding.

It has been alleged after the event that, maybe Wizkid was invited by Davido but he decided not to honour his invitation considering their long-lasting feud.

After the wedding, social media users called out Wizkid for not attending the wedding citing that he was the only Nigerian celebrity who did not attend the wedding.

2. Pastor Tobi Adegboyega

Celebrity preacher Pastor Tobi Adegboyega was one of the most notable absentees at Davido and Chioma's wedding which caused a stir.

Davido counts the multibillionaire pastor as one of his closest friends. A week before the nuptials, Davido was recorded asking Pastor Tobi Adegboyega to attend his wedding.

After the event, a video of the UK-based priest speaking with Davido and explaining why he couldn't attend his wedding surfaced.

3. Burna Boy

Self-acclaimed African Giant, Burna Boy was also among the high-profile individuals who many expected to grace the event. Despite Burna Boy and Davido not being the best of friends, many expected that he would put their differences aside and celebrate his colleague's big day with him.

4. Portable

It has been made clear that controversial singer Habeeb Okikiola widely known as Portable, wished he had been a part of the 'wedding of the year' but he was denied access to the event. While the event was ongoing, the Zzau crooner ranted on social media that he would have been at the ceremony because Davido decided to give him an invitation but Zlatan influenced the singer not to send him an invite.

Recall that a few days prior, Portable and Davido made headlines after they had dinner together in Atlanta. During their moments together, Portable praised Davido for being a good person. In a new development, Portable called out Davido for not giving him money when they met or having a collaboration with him.

This resulted in Davido unfollowing Portable and cutting ties with him hence why he did not invite Portable.

Nigerian singer Flavour N'abania was among the individuals who were missing at the wedding. While Flavour did not explain to Nigerians why he was absent at Davido and Chioma Adeleke's wedding, he also did not post the couple to congratulate them on his social media pages.

6. Teni

Singer Teni who has also collaborated with Davido on a couple of songs, did not attend the singer's wedding. Not only did Teni not attend the wedding but she also did not publicly congratulate the couple.

7. Kie Kie

Nigerian actress and skit comedian KieKie was also not present at Dvaido's wedding. In 2023, during Davido's Timeless concert, was hosted by Kiekie and Mr Macaroni. Due to this, many expected that Kiekie would show up at the wedding to celebrate his joyous day with him.

8. Adekunle Gold

Singer Adekunle Gold was another well-known individual who was conspicuously missing at Chivido24. Davido and Adekunle Gold get along well and have collaborated on several successful songs.

Adekunle Gold did not publicly congratulate the former DMW CEO and his wife, nor did he attend the wedding. Neither Adekunle Gold nor his spouse Simi officially congratulated their colleague on his wedding.

9. Eniola Badmus

Davido does not appear to have forgiven his former best friend Eniola Badmus. The tragic death of Davido's first son, Ifeanyi, in 2022 caused the pair, who were formerly best friends, to break up.

Eniola Badmus congratulated Davido and his wife Chioma on their wedding on her Instagram page a few hours before the singer's nuptials. A few hours later, she vented about how her friends had betrayed her despite her always being there for them in times of need which sparked speculations on social media. Many opined that the actress was referring to not being invited by the singer.

Nollywood actor Zubby Michael is another well-known person who is a big fan of Davido but wasn't present during his wedding.

In several forums, Zubby Michael has openly admitted that he is a big fan of Davido and that he owes him a lot for the love he had shown him. The actor revealed that Davido was the first performer to book a private jet for him. Though he wasn't present at the singer's wedding, he expressed his congratulations to Davido and his spouse on social media.
