Mirzapur 3 promises to deliver more unexpected twists and intense drama, eagerly awaited by fans.

But before the premiere of the third season, here's a quick recap of what has happened in the popular series in the last two seasons.

Recap of Mirzapur Season 1

Season 1 introduces viewers to the brutal world ruled by crime lord Kaleen Bhaiya (Pankaj Tripathi), who oversees an expanding illegal gun trade. He enlists Guddu Pandit and Bablu Pandit (played by Ali Fazal and Vikrant Massey respectively), ambitious brothers who assist in managing his operations. Kaleen Bhaiya's impulsive son, Munna Bhaiya (Divyenndu), views them as threats to his own aspirations.

The narrative unfolds with escalating power struggles and ruthless rivalries. Guddu and Bablu rise in influence, drawing the ire of enemies like Munna, whose jealousy intensifies throughout the season.

The introduction of Sweety Gupta (Shriya Pilgaonkar), who falls for Guddu, further fuels animosity, especially from Munna, who harbours feelings for her. The season culminates in a shocking climax at a wedding, where Munna, driven by rage and vengeance, perpetrates a violent attack.

In a heart-wrenching turn, Munna kills Sweety and Bablu, leaving Guddu critically wounded. Guddu manages to escape with Golu (Shweta Tripathi) Sweety's sister, who also witnesses the tragic events.

The season concludes with Kaleen Bhaiya asserting his dominance by eliminating a policeman, setting the stage for intensified conflict in subsequent episodes.

Recap of Mirzapur Season 2

Picking up where Season 1 left off, Season 2 sees the aftermath of the brutal wedding massacre, plunging the narrative into even darker territory. Characters are consumed by their quests for vengeance and power, driving them to make fateful decisions.

Munna, recovering from his injuries, navigates new political alliances, including a complex relationship with Madhuri (Isha Talwar), the daughter of the Chief Minister. His manipulative tactics to eliminate his father, Kaleen Bhaiya, add layers to the already intricate power dynamics within the Tripathi family.

Meanwhile, Guddu, fueled by his determination to avenge his brother Bablu's death, allies with Golu, who shares his fervour for justice since they both have lost their siblings. Their transformation from victims to formidable adversaries becomes a focal point of the season, promising riveting character development and intense action sequences.

The season culminates in a climactic showdown, where Guddu and Golu confront Munna and Kaleen Bhaiya in a fierce battle for dominance. Guddu achieves his revenge by killing Munna, while Kaleen Bhaiya is left critically injured. The season finale ends on a suspenseful note with Sharad Shukla (Anjum Sharma) rescuing the wounded Kaleen Bhaiya, setting the stage for an eagerly anticipated continuation in the series.

As fans eagerly await Mirzapur Season 3, the series promises to deliver more thrilling twists and turns, exploring the consequences of power, loyalty, and betrayal in the lawless town of Mirzapur.

The third season premieres on Amazon Prime Video on July 5 at 12:00 AM. Mirzapur is one of the most popular Indian web series and the fans are eagerly waiting to watch it.
