The Chairman of the Parliamentary Select Committee on Roads and Transport, Hon. Kennedy Osei Nyarko, has praised JUSTMOH Construction Limited for their high-caliber work at the Boankra Integrated Logistics Terminal.

According to him the committee was pleased with the contractor’s quality of work and requested that the Ministry of Transport, through the Ghana Shippers Authority (GSA), monitor the project to ensure that it is completed by the 2026 deadline.

Hon Kennedy Nyarko was addressing the media after a visit of the site where an inland port worth over $300 million is being built to handle shipping and other landlocked issues.

“I must confess that the committee is very impressed with the quality of work by JUSTMOH Construction Limited and we pray that it continues same way so that we can deliver the best to the Ghanaian people,” the chairman said.

According to Hon. Osei Nyarko, the committee was aware that an initial contractor was working on the project, but despite multiple attempts to convince it to mobilize and start the project, it was unable to do so.

“We’ve asked the aggrieved party to provide documentations that warrant any hearing so that Parliament can get the Attorney-General and other related agencies to deal with the issues,” he stated.

“However, as at now, we are totally relying on JUSTMOH Construction to provide us with high-quality work, and we want to commission this project by 2026,” the chairman added.

The Director at the Boankra Integrated Logistics Terminal Project from the Ghana Shippers Authority (GSA), Dr John Bernard Yorke, predicted that upon completion, the project would become a game changer in logistics transportation.

He expressed his gratitude to the Parliamentary Select Committee for coming to inspect the project and get firsthand knowledge of the situation.

Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of JUSTMOH Construction Limited, Dr Justice Amoh, speaking to the media reaffirmed his committed to delivering high-quality project in 2026.

He acknowledged that he had to accept a reduction in the project contract from 330 million dollars to the present rate of 308 million dollars out of patriotism.

“I thank the Parliamentary Select Committee for the visit and for asking all the necessary questions so that the Ghanaian people would know that their money is being spent for a good course,”Dr. Amoh stated.
