Son Heung-min, Destiny Udogie – Tottenham injury news and return dates ahead of Liverpool
Ange Postecoglou will be without several big names when Tottenham Hotspur lock horns with Liverpool this afternoon.
Jurgen Klopp will welcome the Lilywhites to Anfield on Sunday afternoon as either side looks to climb the Premier League table. The Reds will be determined to return to winning ways and reignite their title hopes following a disappointing draw against West Ham last weekend.
Liverpool have fallen to third in the Premier League table, with their hopes of landing the title all but over. As for Tottenham, they've lost each of their last three games, so Postecoglou will be hoping for a reaction from his players.
And ahead of this afternoon's game at Anfield, the ECHO has taken a look at the latest Tottenham injury news.
Son has started all but four Premier League games for Spurs this season, scoring 16 goals and providing nine assists. Speaking to reporters on Friday afternoon, Postecoglou was asked if the South Korea international has been 'running on empty' recently as an action-packed campaign nears its conclusion.
Injury: Tiredness
What Posteoglou has said: "Yeah, look it's been a big challenge for Sonny this year on a lot of fronts. Not just the game, but the leadership also. It's only natural there would be some point where and again he's got to embrace this challenge because it's not going to change.
"There isn't a point if you want to be successful where the relentlessness of that changes. So, you need to embrace that, understand that and knowing Sonny he will do just that. He will find a way to work his way through it."
