In Summary
  • Mercy Johnson comes under attack on social media over her attitude to fellow actresses in the entertainment industry.

  • Social media erupts

Drama ensued after Nigerian actress Angela Okorie turned to social media to accuse fellow colleague Mercy Johnson of allegedly killing young talents in the Nollywood industry so as not to outshine her.

An angry Okorie in a number of postings on her Instagram page accused mercy of giving young talents hard time whenever they went for auditions.

“If I tell you some of your favs that wants to come out and talk, you will be shocked. Mercy is dark, very dark. Just pray for Nollywood, pray for us, and pray for Nigeria. Pray against the killings of talented souls in the industry and pray for God to use more people to speak up so people can be liberated,”Okorie said.

She even claimed that over 10 people have accused Johnson of being a witch.

Other colleagues dragging Mercy Johnson

Meanwhile another Nollywood actress Yvonne Jegede also joined Okorie in dragging Mercy Johnson.

In a video online, she narrated how she was treated by Johnson way back in 2003 when she took a bike to the national theatre for an audition.

“Good morning, everybody; I think it is time to come out and say the truth about Mercy Johnson. In 2003, I heard there was an audition at the National Theatre. Mercy, didn’t I take Okada to the audition? Come out and deny it now; I have proof. Even the woman who sells food inside the Theatre that day, I wanted to buy food from her; I wanted to buy one meat, and Mercy said I should buy two; if I am lying, come out and deny it. Mercy Johnson, come out and say you didn’t tell me to buy two meat. I have receipts for all my allegations levelled against you. I have my evidence now,” she said

This is not the first time Mercy Johnson is being dragged, in 2019, actress Sonia Ogiri shared a video on instagram accusing Mercy of hating her for no reason.

According to her, Mercy did mean things to her, including asking movie producers not to give her movie roles.

“Hey sis Mercy Johnson Okojie I think is time to talk about all the pain you inflicted on me all these years in order for my healing process to take place,” she said.

“I hope MOTHERHOOD has changed you and you now understand when a mother wants to make her kid or kids proud of her tomorrow and just like you were overwhelmed by the love people showed you on your birthday, I hope you show/act true love towards people too,” she added.
